Calvin Kobluk, BSc, BSA, DVM, DVSc, Diplomate ACVS

Orthopedic and Specialty Surgery
Dr. Kobluck graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskachewan, Canada in 1978.  After completing his residency in the Twin Cities he went on to become board certified in large and small animal surgery.  In 1995, Dr. Kobluk and his family moved to California where he worked as a full time professor helping to develop the veterinary school in Pomona.  He also worked for the All Care Animal Referral Center in California until returning to Minnesota in 2001.  He then persued further education by becoming a board certified orthopedic surgon, specializing in TPLO surgery.  Dr. Kobluck joined the Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service team in 2004 and travels through the upper midwest region performing orthopedic procedures at various clinics.  He has also had 2 articles published in JAVMA regarding orthopedics and is awaiting publication of 3 additional articles.

Ralph Weichselbaum, DVM, Ph.D.

Ultrasound/Radiology
Dr. Ralph graduated in 1989 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary medicine.  After completing his residency and establishing himself in a private practice, Dr. Ralph went on to acheive a Ph.D. in Radiology.  Dr. Ralph began his referral practice in 1996 and now performs more than 1500 ultrasound and specialty
services per year.  He also has opened a specialty facility in the Twin Cities for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism with the use of radioactive iodine.
